Meet Byron, a dog that constantly surprises us! Byron is 3 years old and 25 kilos. He is sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated and has done all the blood tests.

His story is very moving. He was found on the street with a wire tightly braided around his neck, with a chain attached to it. Apparently, he was tied up and managed to escape. He was lucky! He remained in the shelter for six months. He was always calm, serious and sad, but did not withdraw from people, he did not lose his faith in them.

Due to the collaboration of LuvMi with the Animal Welfare Action of Agia Marina Koropi, Byron moved to his temporary foster home. From the first moment he went there, he was very obedient and never created any problems. At first, he was skeptical and scared of the unknown neighborhood in which he found himself and hesitated to go out on the street even for his daily walk. For the first few days, as soon as he’d go out, he wanted to go back home. Ongoing positive reinforcement training helps him overcome his fears and inhibitions and make progress every day.

Now he goes for longer walks, he is happy and enjoys every moment. He never pulls on his leash, he is very sweet, cuddly and loves human contact. He is always discreet at home, he doesn’t damage nor dirty the living spaces. He does not mind being left alone when he needs to, especially when he has one of his favorite bones to “keep him company”..

He may look like a tiger… but he has the temperament of a timid puppy!
